I have just ordered 3 chains for my bikes: 8, 9 and 11 speeds. The Cube is 8 speeds, Trek 9 speeds and Specialized Roubaix 11 speeds.
The one on the Trek needs replacing and the other two are just spares for when needed. I was going to just buy the one but I would have had to pay delivery for it, so by buying 3, I get free delivery. I tend to use Chain Reaction as I find them reliable and fast delivery.

It’s a bit of a pain having all different speeds. Not so much the chains but if I’m swapping saddle bags around I’m sure one day I’ll break a chain and find I have the wrong speed quick link. Not sure if the wrong one would at least get me home or not. I have a mixture of 9, 10, 11 and 12 speed bikes.

I’m just about to stick the telly on for the athletics. Just having an egg mayo sandwich and cuppa for lunch.

Walked to Poole around Holes Bay. A pleasant walk with numerous cyclists enjoying the day. Popped into Sainsbury's and saw that they had authentic halloumi on offer for those with a Nectar card. Downloaded the Nectar app to my phone and took advantage of the offer. Got a few tubs of our favourite spread as that was on offer too. Back home now enjoying the athletics and munching on a Ritter chocolate with marzipan 😎

Got to bed around 6am and got up just after midday to wall to wall steady rain.

Had a good night though.

Another that cba to watch the last, rather silly stage, of Le Tour.

Buried in The Night Manager by le Carr. Saw the series ages back on TV. The book is complex with an inter-related cast of many - thank the god of all things literary, or more precisely, Amazon, for their Kindle X-ray feature.

Munching some of Aldi's 85% cocoa choccie as I type. Lovely stuff with a wonderfully low carb' count for such a dietist's treat!

Early night tonight, kindle and cuddles planned but you never know...

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

Yes, you can already see it happening in our own country now sadly.

Talk about greedy MrsP last week went to Centre Parks with grandkids and daughter They took most the food They ran out of bread two pounds fifty for a loaf of bread Four cokes eight pounds.

Don’t get me started on school uniforms .£230 for uniform plus PE kit which has to have there name on the back All of which has to be purchased from a named supplier.Luckily step daughter is bit more astute white shirts, socks and any other items that match the official colours fromthe various discount stores. Two job M Ps

Coalville is not the most affluent area Step daughter is school secretary at the local primary schoolfshe often has mothers in tears about the price of replacing items that their children have out grown.

Luckily they have a stock of garments donated by parents who have gone to senior school.

Just to add I didn’t accompany mrs P.I’ve been once and thought then it was ripping off what is a captive clientele
