WOW!!

we did that a few years ago for our Honeymoon - so that would be

err

errr

anyway - Banff is great - great views of the mountains and stuff - we did a few coach trips around the the area is amazing
wish we had done bear watching wheil we there there (but see later)

The train ride is out of this World - stunning everything including the stewards/attendants on the coachs

We also did the crusie - scenery is also amazing - Glacier Bay is stunning

Be warned - it takes a VERY VERY long time to get onto the ship. You have to go through US entry procedures and they are NOT efficient
take a book - or maybe 2!!

and don;t even think about smiling or making a joke - the people in the booths that "allow" you the privilege of entry into the USA take their job far too seriously and do not have a sense of humour engaged!!

Just accept it as a necessary part of the thing and heave a great sigh of relief when you get to the boat!

After that the cruise is good - if you like cruises - but anyway the scenery makes up for a lot!

Have a good one!
I've two relatives doing that very job at present. One at JFK, the other at O'Hare.

Oh - and I forgot what I came here to say

Got my hair cut this morning
tried to get up teh energy to cycle there (about 2 miles) all morning
but couldn't then just kicked myself off the sofa and went

went just fine - for a haircut which I hate as they put a mirror in front of you so it is the only time I ever look at myself in a mirror!!

Except that just as she started brushing the hair off and taking the cape away it started hammering down outside so hard we all thought it was hail at first!

So I ended up with wet ride home until about 100 yards from the front door!
You could hurt yourself or do yourself a mischief doing that.

Made it in time for the start. Had to jog a bit. Just a tad slower than they are currently running!

Hello. Heavy showers today, a great shame as it's our first village festival. I've helped a little with organisation.

Now you might of noticed I haven't posted in a while. All is well here. If I'm honest with the exception of this thread I no longer enjoy CC. I pop in at most for a few minutes. It's hard to explain but I find myself increasingly irritated by posters with a "purist," for want of a better word, approach who view the rest with disdain. There's always been an inverted snobbery to CC and I don't like it.

I enjoy our banter and silliness and wish you all well. I'll probably drop by from time to time.

Barnet,
Good morning all.
It feels a bit Autumnal out there. The sky is clear though and the sun is coming up.
MrsP has got one of her friends coming over at lunchtime, and as we are starting to run the fridge contents down, lunch will be some fine camembert cheese, ham, grapes and crusty bread.

Must say this section has been a bit of a lifeline to me recently.
I can have a bit of a laugh at some of the other sections and peoples attitudes......I don't take it seriously though.
