Same as Mo, I have never had nor been offered a health checkup. I think the last time I went to the Dr's because there was something wrong about 35 years ago.

You're safer staying away from them! Once they find one thing wrong, it just seems to escalate.

Hedge Cutting at Powis Castle and Garden

"Soaring 30ft high, the tops of the yew hedges are trimmed by a member of the gardening team who is lifted in a cherry picker. It takes one gardener six weeks to work on the 300 year old hedges."

Hedge cutting at Dirk Towers.
Amazing what you can do with a chainsaw in half an hour. 😁

For some reason the site isn't allowing me to upload photos.

I cleaned the mess up that I made yesterday, so that I could make more mess today.

That's why I hardly bother cleaning. In saying that, I have just this minute ordered a pair of knee pads from Amazon as I hate kneeling on the floor now so can count on one hand how many times I have cleaned the hard floors this year. Maybe if it is comfier I will do them more often.

Another email from Ovo saying they will investigate where the balance adjustment came from that I have queried. They finally seem to be getting the finger out. They also asked for a photograph of one of my electric meters this morning for some reason. It's the Total Heating with Total Control one so maybe just checking what type it is, either that or they don't trust my reading. Who knows.

I have just received all the parts and tool to repair my car hopefully, but it's too hot to work on it now so may do it in the evening or early tomorrow morning before the sun up.

We're sat in the Two Tone Cafe in Ball Hill, its been at least three years since we were last in here, it takes an hour on the bus to get here, I'm sat here melting after pushing my Good Lady round the shops, we got chucked out of one because of the wheel chair, they had stuff all over the place and we were told "leave the chair at the door", we left.

Pretty sure you could take that further if you wanted, but sometimes it's better just to give your custom elsewhere.

I popped out just for a 2 mile wander before it gets any hotter. I won't be back out.

You could be the headlines in the Daily Wail with a story like that

Had enough gardening for today!

Cleared the big gap in front of the pond. It was a real tangle of various overgrown stuff about twelve feet high. Going to fill the space with some slate chippings and a small shrub, or two.

This is the laurel hedge I reduced by six feet the other day. I've got another big laurel to cut back and a smaller one that only needs about three feet removing from its height. I'll probably do them next month.

Your bamboo is doing well. I think it can be tricky to grow....at least it is up here. Maybe your climate is more conducive.
