Good morning all. Another decent though broken sleep (with some strange dreams).
Daughter and SiL calling later and she will be cooking a meal of salmon encroute, baby boiled spuds and various veg.

I will probably watch the Great North Run this morning.

I was reading the forum and prevaricating about going for a run. Your post has made me feel guilty, so I'm off out for a run...

It's the '1940s weekend' around here - lots of themed stuff going on.
Will have a walk down to the station and harbour later to see what's happening and then meet up with our Minehead mates for Sunday lunch at the Bell.

Daughter No4 is doing that for the 6th year in a row.

It is an amazing transformation, she was a "party girl", always out, drinking, partying, then, at age 39, she discovered exercise and keeping fit, next thing she is doing Gym before work, running, swimming, cycling!

At 47, she does have the occasional relapse into "party mode"

Back from my guilt induced run ( thanks Mo ). A different route today, over the heath which is quite challenging as there's a couple of long hills with soft sand underfoot. Really quiet with some nice views over to the Purbecks. The added bonus was the gentle rain shower, unexpected and refreshing.

Still not feeling my normal self. Mrs D has to go out for a couple of hours this afternoon so I'll go over to Daughter #3s so I'm not on my own.

I was going to go for a 2 hour ride this morning but the weather put a stop to that due to rain. It has stopped now and the sun is out but the roads are wet and anyhow, Mrs G and me are going to a protest march later against the council wanting to stop all dogs going on the beach.
Parts of the beach are already forbidden to dogs so why all of it? I hope many dog owners will turn up and let our feelings be known to all .
We took Molly on the beach earlier and she loves it, There were many dogs there, all well behaved and owners being responsible by picking up any dog poo. We have a beautiful, long beach from Rhos on Sea to Old Colwyn and there is plenty of room for every body.

It's spits and spots of rain here at the moment. I have been cleaning some of my jewellery. I have one of those sonic Bath things that you plonk the stuff into to clean. Pour some cleaning fluid into it as well and it works quite well.

Sausage egg and chips today for us.

Enjoyed the Great North run elite races. The masses will still be running for a while yet, especially the 102 year old!

Time for a sandwich and cuppa now.
