Ok, I know I've put on a few kg since breaking my arm in June resulted in a period of forced inactivity, but I thought the email that came today was quite hurtful 😉

:hello: Good morning folks, it got very wet and windy here last night, out to lunch later then we're down the club this afternoon, it hasn't been on for a few weeks so looking forward to that, I'll try and win a bit more than £3.50.

Morning all :hello:

So, the forecasters got it wrong again!
'Storm Agnes' turned out to be a bit of a damp squib around here considering that they were saying we were going to be in the firing line. Bunch of overpaid scaremongers!
Today I shall be clearing my back lawn of apples and acorns (I should really be keeping a pig, or two) and painting my front fence.

And that's the danger. If these named storms become associated with damp squids no one will take any notice and the while naming malarkey will have been pointless.

Well, I made it to Aldi.
Rapidly going off that place. One week you buy an item that you enjoy. 2 weeks later you just cannot find the same product......if you can find an assistant (a BIG if) the response ranges between "couldn't give a sh*t" and really couldn't be arsed.
Think I will try Lidl and see how I get on.
