Spent most of it on the bus home

We've had a flat £2 fare across the board for any journey for over a year now. The Bus company keeps extending it but I think it finishes at the end of October. It's resulted in a lot more bus usage, especially among the younger population. Of course we pensioners have our bus passes so don't pay. It seems a more logical way of doing it, no more faffing with zones and destination variables. I wonder if the incresed usage has offset the drop in revenue from the reduced fares.

Went for a run this morning, legs were heavy so I baled out after a couple of miles and headed home.

I'm keen to get back into it, but I'm badly needing to drop a bit of weight first to make it feel more comfortable. With all my lumbar disc/sciatic problems, the old legs probably only work about 60% as well as they should, so carrying extra weight is the last thing I need. I am doing well this week and only sticking to my porridge, sandwich for lunch and my tea with no snacks so hoping I start to feel a difference soon. It's bloody hard when you are post menopause and older.

That's a national Government initiative and is funded by taxpayers with the Gov' reimbursing the bus companies.
