Well, I went out and did 58 kms in very nice weather. Can't go until at least Wednesday now as busy till then.

An odd evening, even by my standards.
I missed a train that left before it could have got to the station. An hourly service running every half hour! The next train in on the platform was showing as not existing. It arrived before the one I wanted to catch, which never physically arrived at the station, was showing at control in York, as being in the station.
The train that didn't exist, neither on the board at the station or the control. Train guard, and driver, had to confirm they were where they said they were as the train they arrived on wasn't showing on any system, due to depart at a time it couldn't. The next train, kept outside the station was the one showing as being in the station. Two more for the same destination were seen travelling towards the station as the one I was on departed.
Fourth train seen heading in the opposite direction was later confirmed by the guard, via control, as the next one headed where I wanted to go. Meaning it arrived early.
I ended up headed elsewhere, so I could then head home. I got there only to find the train I needed was delayed. So if I'd waited on the one train headed in my direction, I'd have been waiting for the connecting train anyway as it was the same train.

Good morning folks, in the spare bedroom again as granddaughter seems to have taken all of my side of the bed when I got up for a pee in the night.

Morning. Still here. I can’t be bothered walking in it again. It’s not much fun being encased in waterproofs and wading through puddles. It might ease slightly by late afternoon then tomorrow looks much nicer thankfully.

Another day of glorious sunshine forecast today.
Off to the tip first thing , then going for a walk on Staple Plain before having lunch in the West Somerset Hotel.
Feeling considerably better today, but still a bit 'meh'.

Mo.....google tells me they expect things to improve over(last)night and are planning to restart St Andrews golf comp at 0900 this morning.
We shall see.

The joys of grandkids

I've spent the last half hour sitting up in bed reading Enid Blyton's " The Enchanted Wood " until my throat got dry. Granddaughter is currently reading it " in my head " as she tells me that she loves reading inher head 😄

Good morning all, watched to much telly yesterday, three rugby matches, I wish they'd spread the home nations matches out a bit not played them all on the same day

A 'bitty' sleep as I woke often though managed to get off again. The last break was 0600 so I gave in and got up.
A TV day with 2 big footy matches and (possibly) some golf.
I am hoping for a stroll early on though my legs are not connected to my body just yet.

Good morning all.
It's a clear sky outside, and due to be unseasonably warm and sunny.
We are going up to Hitchin to see our friends for lunch, and maybe a walk to the local pub for a drink or two.

OK gardeners. My spider plant has grown a rather long stem. Is this the beginning of a new plant and what do I do with it. Is it like a strawberry plant where you plant it into a pot then cut it away from the main plant once it grows more?
