Morning. We have a dry day in prospect and quite warm. Better make the most of it as a bit more rain due tomorrow.

I keep swapping pillows and still can’t find the perfect one. Getting a fair bit of neck pain which often ends up as a headache later. The best for the neck pain is the Tempur shaped one but I find it a bit hard. The microfibre and down ones I have are softer but make my neck worse.

Good morning folks. Looks like another warm and sunny day with a high of 22. A busy day as well, Sparky coming this morning to check meter wiring, Solar survey guy coming at lunchtime, and Bathroom fitter coming later in the afternoon to see what our options are for converting the downstairs loo to a shower/ Wet room.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Coooooeeeee. I got distracted somewhere else. 13 deg and dark here. We are expecting another nice day here.

The bathroom is nearly finished. The cupboard doors are painted and ready to put back on. The floor tiles should be here tomorrow, so they will go down and that will be it.

Stay safe peeps :hello:

Tell us Mo, who do you swap pillows with?? That could be a big part of the problem🙂.
TBH I go through periods (that last mybe a week or so) when I struggle in bed as neck is a constant ache. I have not found an answer yet.

I have a 'step in' shower which ticks most boxes.
I did fancy a wet room but kept reading of various problems so decided against that.

Started young, and still going.
Good morning all.
I had a bit of a rough nights sleep.
Our friends like to ear quite late in the evening, where MrsP and myself like to eat tea early evening orlate afternoon. So the dinner was sitting a bit heavy in the stomach overnight.
I'm not in the mood for any breakfast yet.

The moggies are going to the Vets this morning for their booster jabs. Then I'll be out with the dog for a while.

The first of the bin lorries hasn't been down our road yet, they are normally along at 6.30am.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Riverside trail done. It's amazing how quickly the river level has fallen already but you can see marks where it has been right up lapping the path. A very pleasant morning now.

Continuing the pillow saga I have sent away for yet another one!

Yes, it's still in the " see what's possible stage " so we'll see what our options are. A friend recently had a new bathroom installed by one of the " Big Box " DIY stores. It looked quite impressive but there were various problems with air locks, toiulet not flushing properly etc. The installers came back a couple of times but then started to blame the exisiting plumbing as the source of the problem. I recommended a plumber who has done various job for us over the years. He went and took a look and was horrified. They'd fitted the cistern internals the wrong way round, glued the cistern to the wall instead of using the supplied fiixing kit, fitted a flexible pipe that was too long and therefore was kinked and would have eventually failed etc etc. Part of the problem is that you can go and look at the in store displays, have your new bathroom designed for you, but then they use the cheapest sub contractors they can find so as to maximise profit.
Our plumber came round and looked things over, he said what he thought would be possible, but It's not the work that he does himself so he gave us the phone number of a couple of trusted plumbers who specialise in what we are hoping to do. At least we know we are going to get an honest appraisal.
