Right went for a ride - 20 miles ish and now have had lunch - remains of a Pork Pie from Tesco

Funny thing happened on the ride

I was going along the Sankey Canal (first in the country - now unused) which leads from Warrington to Widnes - so nice and flat and the path has been improved recently so is wide and well surfaced
I came up to a slight bend with a high set of trees/bushes along the left - and the canal on the right
I noticed a older man riding towards me - sitting on his bike in that way that has no weight on the bars except for his hands - so going pretty slow - and wearing dark glasses when it is cloudy so might have eyesight problems - he was sensibly riding on his left so I moved to my left so we could pass easily
As I approached him a bloke on a road bike appeard - he was passing the older bloke and hence on the right (to him - left to me) side and hence we were hidden from each other by the bushes
I noticed that he was moving quite fast - faster then me an I was going faster than most due to the old ebike thing -
AND had his hand on the bars but in the middle - not near the brakes!!!!!!!
we were headed straight for each other!!!!!

luckily I managed to swerve to my right and the older bloke slowed down so all was OK - but it was close

Funny thing was that as soon as the bloke on the rod bike saw me he said
engage high pitched voice
"Oh Noooooo" - honestly it sounded just like it would if Peppa Pig had said it!!
really weird - and just a strange response
Sad to say, the Romans beat you to it, with the Fossdyke Navigation in Lincolnshire.

Morning. It’s dark and currently dry but forecast says there will be some rain soon. I’ll try and at least get a bit of my walk done before it comes on.

This is the last warm day for us. It’s turning much colder later this week.

Better sleep last night with the Tempur pillow. My neck feels better this morning. I think my whole spine is a bit of a mess with degenerative discs so just got to be as careful as I can.

Started young, and still going.
Morning all, just getting light now.
I have to take MrsP to Chase Farm hospital this morning for a MRI scan, for to be there for 0900. I'll drop her off and then take the dog for a walk in Trent Park, MrsP could be there for a few hours.

I've got so used to them my mind seems to understand them now.

Pleasant walk done along the riverside trail and back. Needed the head torch until 7am. It actually stayed dry, but the sky has gone a bit dark and overcast now. Getting a bit windy too.

An eventful day. Conflicting advice on situation with the electric meter. I've contacted Octopus and will wait to hear back. Second Solar survey and the guy seemed a lot more in tune with what I wanted in regard to location of the batteries and inverter. Will wait for the quotes and decide who to go with. Bathroom guy texted mid afternoon to say that he couldn't make the appointment due to needing to work late, apologised and asked if it would be convenient to pop round this evening, a reassuring attitude.
Meanwhile, veg box, blue bin, health walk. I always accompany Mrs TKK as a sort of semi official walk guide, if I did the free " Walk Leaders" course then I'd be given free parking at our local country park.
