Morning. It’s dark and currently dry but forecast says there will be some rain soon. I’ll try and at least get a bit of my walk done before it comes on.

This is the last warm day for us. It’s turning much colder later this week.

Better sleep last night with the Tempur pillow. My neck feels better this morning. I think my whole spine is a bit of a mess with degenerative discs so just got to be as careful as I can.

Ever tried an ‘inversion table’?

Had a friend who raved about his, and in a fit of fiscal lunacy, many years ago, we got one.
Felt good….quite relaxing!
Some years later I read they were not good for people with high blood pressure, & so we later sold it.
Kind of like reversing the effects of gravity, which we humans were not best designed for 🤷‍♂️

Mo....did you have your pasta with tomato paste ??
Reason I ask, I was ill last night. Terrible acid. I spent 3 hours waiting to upchuck and had a plastic bowl next to the bed.
I wonder if all that tomato was just too much for me.

No, I am going to have it tonight I think. My stomach is pretty resilient so can cope with most foods as long as I don't eat too late at night.

Morning all :hello:

Very still and misty out there as I look out of my bedroom window towards the foot of the Quantock hills. Typical Autumn morning. Forecast to burn off and be sunny later.
I removed a Hydrangea bush from the side of our porch yesterday as it looked a mess. Got to pressure wash the area this morning and then paint the fence once it dries out.
Contractors are arriving next Monday to start resurfacing our private road; job should be finished on Tuesday. :okay:

I am amused, post on Facebook, apparently a woman on social media has been complaining about the welsh 20 mph speed limit, "she says I can't overtake cyclists because they are also travelling at 20mph", she sounds confused Lol!

I've just been reading that here cycling-live-blog-9-october-2023-304367

Drivers just seem to be getting more and more self entitled and aggressive on the roads. No wonder I can barely be bothered facing it now.

I always hated it when my quantocks became misty 🙂

Just managed my short walk. Not so easy today as my legs had a mind of their own.

Bl**dy contractors.
The fencing company promised 8-8.30.
I phoned to tell them "I am waiting to go out and you need power so I am stuck here waiting".
Crap excuses and they dropped the extension tube off at 0900.
0940 and they still haven't arrived to do the job.

" Fine" them for being late and for you having to alter your plans. They'd be quick enough to let you know you'd cost them money by not being there as promised.

Another 3.7 mile wander around the town before lunch. The rain is still holding off apart from a few spits blowing through the wind. Hope it stays that way and lets the paths dry out a bit.

Don't know what to have for lunch. I have some of these John West pasta pot things. Might just have one of these. I need to be cutting down anyway.
