Morning all.
As I have said, I normally use 'daylight' to get me out of bed. Daylight is getting later/darker every day .
Daughter and family spent the day here, mainly preparing for when the house becomes theirs.
I/we have owned and loved this house since 1982 so in a way it will be sad but it makes so much sense.

Morning all

Workmen are turning up soon to finish the resurfacing. They did all the prep work yesterday.
I won't be able to use the road until tomorrow, so we are off to the Quantock brewery by train today.

Morning all.
Quite a bright start to the day here, and a bit warmer than yesterday.
MrsP is off to her Pilates class this morning, I'll be out with the dog.
Sainsbury's are delivering between 9 and 10, MrsP got me to buy one of their midweek delivery passes, so we can get deliveries at a more defined time tues, wed and thurs.
I'll get out on the bike later on for a while to keep the legs ticking over.

Morning folks its quiet out there...too quiet, not a breath of wind the calm before the storm! Going to batten down the hatches and secure anything that might go 'free range' . Last time there were gales my wheelie bin went a few hundred ft down the road. The old legs feel ok this morning so its over the hills and maybe not so far away if they start complaining

The leaves that are left on the trees are falling to the ground really quickly now. Probably due to the colder weather.

There are still plenty of green leaves on the trees here, no doubt now that the temperature has cooled they will turn those lovely autumn colours soon.

The sun briefly tried to break through the mist but hasn't quite made it so the house is feeling damned chilly.

Not sure what I fancy for lunch yet. I have tubs of egg mayo sandwich filler in the fridge but think I would rather have something warm so either soup or beans on toast I think.

Really annoyed

Just had a phone call from a nice lady saying that the insulation in my loft has been classified as an irritant by the World Health Organisation

which is obviously very worrying (is there a sarcasm font on here?)

anyway she asked me to confirm that I was the house owner

I replied with "What er what...." and she hung up on me!!!

bloomin' rude if you asks me

I wanted to be rude - how dare she be rude before I got a chance!!!
