There is a bit left.

Thank you. Just had 90 minutes solid sleep. As expected I feel groggy but will come around shortly.

A thread specially for 'persons of leisure' and independent means, or those with aspirations.
How do you while away those lazy days?
How do you cope financially?
When did you retire?
Is retirement what you expected?
How long did you take to adjust?
Etc.

Tell us what you are up to today or what plans you have.
Or just have a bit of silliness to while away those lazy hours.

I've been busy today. Hilly 15 mile ride in North Devon, took dog for a stroll along Saunton Sands, cut the front lawn, leisurely pub lunch at the Tarka Inn overlooking the estuary, bit of shopping and now going to nap off my lunch. Never a moment spare!
Now i thought that this was about old cyclists heading off to the sun in winter. All the young ones are saying that we have never had it do good. .The only reason why is that us old ones never maxed out the plastic. So who rlse is spending the rainy day money (money squirreled away for when the good times suddenly stop.) On cycling trips abroad.

I've been on my arse this morning, fortunately its well padded these days so no harm done, pulling my Good Lady up a wheelchair ramp and lost my footing. We're in the Cosy Cafe this morning as its near to the bus stop, we don't use this one very often, but its damp this morning, drizzly showers so we didn't want to walk to the club.

We had welsh lamb, roast potatoes, roast carrots, garden peas, gravy and mint sauce. :hungry:

It's now raining.

What is the difference between welsh lamb and english lamb (besides their accent)

The Welsh ones talk about you behind you back in a funny voice??

(Note - I lived in Wales for years and never say this happen!!!
Although I did see someone complain about it in a cafe - my daughter spoke Welsh as she was at school at the time and asked me what they were on about
They were not talking about the tourists - and were speaking English but with a Welsh accent!!!)

Absolutely k******d today

Had the grandkids over night Tuesday and most of Wednesday - so had a couple of beers and half a bottle of wine yesterday evening
which isn't much
but when I woke up this morning I felt like I had had 2 bottle of wines or something

didn;t help that I spent half the night driving a double decker bus around desperately trying to find the destination - or so I remembered - dunno why I was a woman or why the bus went from right to left hand drive at one point
(weird dream if that wasn;t obvious!)

so not done much today

but tonight we are going to see Jesus Christ Superstar in Liverpool!!!
