Went to the Tivoli in Wimborne yesterday for the Matinee performance of The Great Escaper.
A very moving film with both poignant and hilarious moments.
Had an ice cream in the interval. Judging by the audience demographics, there's still a chance for me to become a Toyboy 😁

MrsP and myself went last week to see The Great Escaper. I thought it was a very good film.
It reminded me a lot of my Dad a lot, a D Day veteran, he had a similar attitude..

Good morning all. A grey, murky start to the day here, with rain forecast for later on.
I've got a few errands to run, so I'll be out and about on the bike. I may get a bit damp.
The usual dog walk soon and then some domestics.
Another busy day in paradise.

Good sleep last night. Cold here today at 4°.
Legs feel a bit better so I might (emphasis on might) get wrapped up and go for a short stroll.
No plans and no family expected so it will be a quiet day.

Morning all :hello:

Persisting down here.
Off to our Wells B&B today in readiness for tomorrow's carnival.
Lunching today in one of my favourite pubs - The Hunters Lodge near Priddy. Run by a relation of Diana Dors since 1946 and is a real time capsule.

Definitely isn't a cosy looking pub but their Web site shows "real"* cider which should suit you.
* not sure what an UN real cider could be.

The Solar installation continues today. They have to run a length of 5 core 16mm square steel wire armoured cable ( it's stiff and hard to manipulate)
The guys left it in a locked outhouse overnight. The temperature dropped to about 5 degrees. About 5:30 this morning I woke and the first thing I thought was it's cold and raining. My next thought was that the cable gets increasingly more difficult to manipulate the colder it gets. I got up put on my dressing gown and went down to the outbuilding, lugged the big heavy reel of cable indoors, rested it against a radiator and turned the heating on. I hope the guys appreciate my efforts 😁

Possibly, have you rotated the coil since you put it in front of the radiator?
