3° here at the moment.
Just spent an hour figuring out how to programme the under floor heating in our bathroom.
In theory it should be nice and warm when we use it in the mornings now.

......

Turns out it is not a comedy - got a few hints when we walked through the entrance to be faced with a burning car and demolished building and general rubble (apparently)

while waiting for it to start there were general war sounds including fast jets (single engine - possibly F16) and helicopters

anyway - turns out the MacBeth was not a nice man and his wife has a real "thing" about washing her hands!!!

anyway - it doesn;t end well for him

Also turns out that Ralph Fiennes and Indira Varma and really getting the hang of the acting thing!!!

So basically brilliant!

I thought that was a typical Liverpool Street scene? ;)

I just saw an advert for Dyson headphones. You can get them at the bargain price of £549 at curries and that includes £200 off the official price. What a bargain. I have to say they look hellish fugly. They make you look like one of the cybermen from Dr Who

their vacuum cleaners seem to have waned in popularity and getting some bad reviews recently . didn't know they made headphones . Are they supposed to be good ?

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

No idea if they are good or not. I tend to think they are all whistles and bells. Flash with no substance.

I have a Dyson rechargeable one and to be honest it's not that good. It's fine on my wooden floors but on carpets Meh. I won't bother again. Their fan heater looks good and they talk about this technology and that but it's just a fan nothing new and it costs hundreds.

Late on parade today. Cold but sunny here. I swapped out the under unit fluorescent lights for the LED equivalent, so much lighter in weight and more economical too. Just switched the immersion heater on as I noticed the battery was fully charged from the Solar panels and I was exporting over 3kWh to the grid. I wouldn't mind but they need to set up my smart meter tariff and set things up so they can pay me for any excess we generate.
Off to collect granddaughter from school later, she's having a sleepover tonight so we can taker hir to the local Christmas parade tomorrow 🎅

Just been out in the car - thermo-meter says it is up to about 3

As far as Dyson goes - my Mum got one many years ago - about model 3 I think - and it was brilliant
Sooooo much better than anything else she had ever had and I was impressed when it got blocked up and I could dismantle everything and sort it all out

We have 2 - one from my wife's old house and one from mine - and they are good - but not all that good. I would expect to be able to fine ones just as good for less
I get the impression that they are great at design - but then the accountants get at it

My wife did persuade me to buy her a Dyson hair dryer and we are very impressed
She is amazed at how well it dries hair and how easily it lets her do the things she wants to it
She certainly need less other bits and pieces to get it sorted than she did before - and the previous 2 hairdryers were not cheap at all
Hair is not my specialist subject - but it came with a simple stand for the attachments - and it is one of the best engineered (rather than designed) things I have every seen - simple but perfectly effective and beautiful in a simple way

Anyway - pretty much time to go and pick number 3 grandkid up and babysit for a few hours - then go and get Number 1 and her cousin from school
Have had to get "The Big Coat" out - it is THAT bad

glad I done live "above the wall" like Mo!!!

Pigged out on birthday cake last night and paid the price overnight.

Woke up around 4 am and for the next 3 hours I felt really rough - guess it was one if those excess sugar-shock thingies. Exacerbated by my having eaten very little sweet foods this year. Won't ever do the cake-scoff thing again.

More positively, we have today put the finishing touches to our long-term cashflow workbook reflecting 2023 actual changes and likely changes for 2024. We are happy!

Quiet night planned tonight as usual frolics are on hold due to Mrs SD putting her back out and is in a fair bit of pain.
