And a good morning from me also but I will add a ^_^
A decent sleep although I spent the last hour snug but semi-awake........a semi of any kind is welcome nowadays .
Debating an early trip to Tesco as I enjoy a glass of wine and they a 25% discount on.
See you later.
Oh BTW @Drago .....was thinking of you yesterday. There was a charity saying they were desperate for used clothing and I thought 'surely Drago has some used undies going spare'. No pressure here but maybe your Christian conscience will spur you to donate.

Good morning all.
A total change in todays weather.
Cloudy and raining outside for the rest of the day.
This evening myself and two friends are of to the Hammersmith Odeon, or whatever corporate name it is now known by to see The Aussie Pink Floyd. We saw them last year and they are fantastic. Tonight they are playing as the first set, the whole of Dark Side of the Moon. It is 50 years since the album came out.
Should be a good night.

Morning all :hello:

Manky weather today by the looks of it; glad I got all of my gardening done yesterday.
Today, we shall be making sure everything in the house is up to snuff, as we've got friends stopping over next week.

Reminds me of a time when myself and Mrs @BoldonLad were still wage slaves.

To make things easier, I decided to hire a cleaner, to do the housework.

Result, Mrs @BoldonLad used to "tidy up" (ie do the housework) before the cleaner came!

Objective not achieved, but, we did have a very clean and tidy house.

Morning folks :okay: its gone from freezing to raining and 50mph winds...wake me up in April...
I've been busy!
Hoovered up all the leaves in the back garden, dug over my raised beds, washed my two greenhouse's windows, cleared the stream and decided to cut the lawns as it's such a nice day.
They should be OK now til Spring. :okay:

I nearly got the lines straight on my front lawn!

Oh, and I ran both of the AJS bikes up for a few minutes to make sure they were OK.
I was going to lop some branches off a couple of cherry trees, but MrsD says lunch will be ready at 13.30, so that job will have to wait.
Think I need a lie down!
Not a good time to prune any cherries as the wounds are open to disease for months. If pruning is absolutely necessary then summer is best :okay:

I was at Tesco for 07.15.
Some of the "clubcard" offers are very good although many discounted prices are still way more than Aldi's normal prices.
Was not a happy bunny as I bought 6 bottles of wine to get the 25% off BUT it didn't come off. When I queried it I was told it only applies if every bottle is over £5.00. I said "it doesn't say that on the offer" and was told "it will be in the small print somewhere". It meant I had to trudge back (furthest Isle of course) and swap the one offending bottle.
Apart from that it's not bad, especially as the early opening means I can miss all the heavy traffic.

I got caught out the same way a couple of months ago . I thought the offer was the same as Sainsburys in that the wine has to be over £5 but at that time in Tesco the price point was £5.50 . And three of bottles I had picked were £7.00 but had been discounted to £5.40. ☹️.
I was not a happy bunny 😀 but I went customer service’s and got them swapped out. The ladies on the counter said this was happening a lot.

Yes - I've fallen for that before now - the bit about £5 is on the cards but in very small print at the bottom!

(simple solution - don't drink cheap wine!!!!)
