Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
We're on the look out but they are as rare as hen's teeth at the moment. Panasonic themselves are out of stock, as are JL, Argos, etc. The model we are interested in is on sale at most places for about £160, but as I said, everyone seems out of stock. There are a couple of ones being offered for sale on the Big River but they're asking £300!
Not to worry, we will mix the stuff in the food processor and use the " Bake Only " function on the Panny until they're back in stock. Of course, I can, and have, made bread the " Proper " way. It can be quite therapeutic, but the panny is so convenient and we can set it to make the bread overnight.

Thos is the one that I have. There is only 1 left. Its o Amazon.

They make very nice bread in Lidl, fresh daily and cheaper than buying a machine.

Can't offer any suggestion, sorry.
It doesn't owe you as it has had constant use.
Would you get another Panasonic ?

Yes, definitely another Panasonic. when you strip away the more up to date casings and display, the important bit that does the mixing and baking remains essentially the same as the original. It's reassuring that having got it right, they haven't been tempted to faff around with the important bits.

I finally got out for the run that I was planning to do yesterday until the relentless rain put me off. Not the prettiest of sights as I trundled around a local 5K route, but the sun was shining and the lights were in my favour ( I have to cross a couple of busy roads with Pelican Crossings that gave me a couple of minutes respite )
I feel much the better for it.

I wandered around to the local small Morrisons which has an in store Post Office. All I wanted was to hand a package over for return to Amazon, and while I was there to Pick up a loaf of bread. It seemed that they were short of staff with only one person behind the counter trying to juggle two jobs. I gave up after ten minutes waiting in the queue and wandered the mile or so up the road to Broadstone. More shops and a bigger Post Office. There were people queueing out of the door so I gave up and popped in to M&S to grab a loaf. A Coffee and Walnut cake appears to have fallen in to my basket on my way to the till 🥮😎

Another little wander done. Couple of little showers but not too bad. Went into the garage when I got back and chopped up some cardboard to put in the blue bin. This new arrangement where the paper/cardboard now only gets uplifted every 4 weeks isn’t handy if you order stuff online as nearly everything seems to come in massive cardboard boxes.
