Just had a major win.

I noticed when I had a shower this morning that drain was not flowing freely.

I made a mental note to "see to it", but, then, did nothing.

This afternoon, Mrs Boldonlad told me she had cleared it!

I am feeling pleased with myself, but, I suspect I will pay a heavy price

I enjoyed my hour group ride in Zwift. It really was an easy pace. My heart rate was mostly in the 90s. You can’t increase speed too much anyway or you go through the fence at the front and get kicked off.

The hour seemed to pass really quickly.

That's great to hear Mo. If you're finding it engaging and enjoyable then the odds are you will persist with it. IIRC Zwift is the one that is a " Virtual World " with various exotic islands?
I used an app where you could follow real courses, with someone having ridden the course wearing a GoPro or similar. Perhaps you could download a route that was recorded on a sunny summers day in the countryside. Couple that with a fan heater on one side to give you a warm breeze, a desk fan blowing over a " Summer Meadow " toilet freshener and a recording of birdsong, and the winter will pass in no time ☀️😎😁

Long story short...

Mrs D's car is in being fixed after some dullard drove into it.

Insurers have been messing us about mightily so I lodged a complaint. As a result Mrs D's hire car, a very nice MG5 electric which I have to say I like a lot, is being taken away tomorrow and replaced at no cost to us with a BMW i5 electric by way of apology. That'll do nicely.

The bartender agrees, so the guy opens the crocodile’s mouth and puts his winky inside it. The crocodile gently closes his mouth and, after 15 seconds, the Australian hits it over the head with a bottle. The now-disoriented crocodile opens his mouth, allowing the guy to take out his winky.

The bartender, shocked, starts serving the free drinks to the Australian. He then announces to the bar, “If anyone else can do that, they’ll get free drinks for the night.”

After a slight pause, a blonde woman chirps, "Ok, I’ll do it, but please just don't hit me so hard over my head with the bottle

Morning. A cold but mostly dry day for us. Mug of decaf and a browse then I’ll get out for a wander. Might go up the hill this morning.

Temperature is 7° but strangely set to drop to a max of 6°. Also, strangely very dark this morning......I was surprised when I got up to find it was 0630 (a lie in for me).
Some bits n bobs to do and I may be going for a lunchtime drink with the neighbour.

I missed seeing your post @welsh dragon. That's the one we have that seems to have given up the ghost, Mrs Tkk dug out the receipt and we purchased it from JL in March 2014. It's been in constant use about three times a week for nigh on ten years so at its original £79 purchase price it has been very good value.
Managed to track down a replacement from the Panasonic Direct web site. We've gone for the model with extra whistles and bells, it has a seed and nut dispenser and a yeast dispenser, but Mrs Tkk wanted it because it's silver in colour 🤔.
The Brucie Bonus is that Mrs Tkk gets Student discount so we got it for £136 including delivery 👍
Can't wait to try out some of that there " Artisan " bread that it's supposed to be capable of making 😁.

Mates are turning up today, apart from my bestie who's gone down with man flu. His missus is coming though.
Off to Glenmore bakery first thing to pick up a couple of nice loaves - their malted granary is superb!
Probably go out for a walk this afternoon.

Good morning all from a damp and cloudy Barnet. It's quite cool as well.
All the usual things to do today, I'm hoping to get out on the bike for a while later on.
MrsP is out this evening to Sadlers Wells theatre with a friend to see a Ballet production. Her friend used to be a Ballet dancer back in the mists of time, and has danced at all the big theatres in her day.
