With regard to T'internet. My saga with my Fibre to the premises install process got me a free month, but I am still subscribed to my original provider ( Zen Internet ) This is because Mrs Tkk has to submit her dissertation electronically by 11th January, so I'm keeping both contracts running concurrently until her work is submitted and receipt acknowledged. Paranoid, me? Yes. It's worth the extra £25 for the extra peace of mind.

My problems with BT continue.
Since October the 18th I have wanted a broadband only deal.
1st person I spoke to gave me an acceptable deal. That didn't go through but no one called to say it hadn't. November and December's Bills came and I'm still paying for a landline and home phone I don't want.
I have phoned and spoken to another operator, who phoned me back twice, but today I phoned again and spoke an operator in Belfast of all places, and lo and behold, nothing has gone through.
I'm fast getting to the point of telling them to shiver it.
I have been assured that someone will call me back in 48 hours.😡

Customer service for most utility companies is shocking these days. I’m getting nowhere fast with OVO either. There is something seriously wrong somewhere. Don’t know if it’s the fact that their billing systems and call centres are nearly all located outwith the UK now and nothing seems to tally up as the departments don’t seem to talk to each other.

Mrs Tkk took her new shopping trolley on its second outing today. A walk to Lidl for yet more provisions 😮 I walked down to meet her and trundled the trolley back, it's very smooth and easy to pull, I'm impressed.

Three made minor, unannounced, changes to the service they provided. The refused to reinstate the service as it was, they didn't believe I was old enough despite the contract being in my name.
I was five hours, in total, on the phone to them. Over three of which were on hold.
At the end of the second call, from me to them, I pointed out that they had breached the contract twice, and I was now walking away because they were unwilling to reinstate the service as I'd signed up to.

The direct debit was cancelled two days later.
