It's not so wet as down at the harbour but those 4km means we have slightly calmer winds, less rain, and a whole extra degree of warmth ☀️ Our walking group will be having lunch after this morning's walk, then a bit more shopping in search of a Pam and Tony which seem in short supply this year. Coooeee. The rain has eased off here. I have to do my shopping today. I have no doubt there will be a lot of standing water on the roads. I hate driving in those conditions. Oh well.

Taking Mrs D to hossy for an appointment, one of her hearing aids has stopped working. Parking can be tricky so I'll drive and if I can't park I'll drive over to Moggo's for brunch.

Yes I saw that. I've been with them before. Started off at £25 and in the end I was paying £60 a month, that's why I went with EE.
Morning all, it's a wet start to the day here in Barnet.
A domestics type of day I think.
I have to take a urine sample, the dogs, not mine before @classic33 gets in, to the Vet. Millie is a bit poorly, we had to take her yesterday and the Vet has taken blood full a full blood test, plus I took a poo sample with me. She is twelve now and has lost quite a bit of weight, so I am getting a bit concerned.

Morning all 
The sky turned a apocalyptic orange a moment ago and my living room went really dark...oo.er...can get dramatic up here.
Treated myself to a new lid which has a removable magnetic visor/eye shield. I get sore eyes from wind/dust/cold so this might help. Wont be riding today though, will do my usual beach walk/litter collect

I envy you living near the beach. Something really invigorating about a beach walk. Supposed to be to do with the ozone or something, or have I made that up.
I've just fired of yet another snotty email to Ovo. I'm getting nowhere fast with them. There's something seriously amiss with their billing system and customer service. I so wish I had a normal meter set up and could just get away from them.

a bracing wind and a ozone 'hit' is like being plugged into the mains One day i was walking along the beach and a Peregrine came over high in the sky, a Oyster catcher farther along was spotted and the Peregrine went into a stoop, folded its wings back and dropped like a stone! Awesome! he came down like an arrow put on the brakes and just missed the fleeing bird. Got to be out there to see these things, made my day!

Morning, not a very good nights sleep and today my back feels worse, so it looks like I'm stuck with it until well after Christmas.

MAJOR PANIC here today!!!
Suddenly remembered that SWMBO always wants a "Cottams Hot Pot" on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve
It is actually not a Hot Pot but a family sized pie with Hot Pot ingredients - her family had this as a tradition of having it on these date
Anyway - I normally order that and the turkey from the same place
but this year we have found a better butcher and ordered the meat from there and forgot the Hot Pot
ANyway - I rushed down to the market - where the old deli is located - but they insisted that it was far too late to order one (actually two) and it had to be done by last week
OH ****
anyway - went on the WWW and found that one local posh farm shop does them
so I dashed up there and they were all "Oh yes - no problem at all - when do you want it"
no rush involved or anything
so now it is all ordered and being picked up on Friday - same as the turkey
we will have the grand-kids - at least the boys - so we can have an expedition to get them all

The locomotive is facing the wrong way!The 10.30 Santa Express from Minehead just went past the end of our front garden.
It'll be returning in around 30 minutes.
