Just saw something that said " don't forget to buy enough food for 30 to 40 days as the shops will be closed over Christmas for a whole 12 hours".
Better buy double, some are closing on Boxing Day as well.

Only managed a couple of miles of running around the local roads with Mrs Tkk. Got back and had a couple of rounds of wholemeal toast from the first loaf from the new bread machine. The loaf came out really well and I might experiment with some of the more exotic recipes after the Christmas busy time.
Just had an email from Octopus saying that I earned £23.50 during the couple of one hour saving session I opted into earlier in the Month ( It's a National Grid initiative with several energy companies taking part ). I have my battery set to automatically top up it's charge to 100% during the off peak hours of 02:00 to 05:00 when it costs 16.5p per kWh. Even if there's no solar there's still enough to power the house until the next off peak slot the next night so it makes sense to export some of it back to them when they're running one of the saving sessions.

Dam. I forgot about that.

Yep.......and don't forget you have 2 x 7 foot tall grandsons. I think you will need a trailer

What I haven't got I'll do with out, to be honest I have not brought one thing for Christmas.
My worry will be, can I get to get to church on Sunday and Christmas Day as I have to walk up
it was a pain walking round Sainsburys pushing/hanging on to the trolley, it's only 800 yard
but I don't want to fall over, all ready done that three times today when the back gives out
