Box of deep filled mince pies from the local baker has just been opened. They're very weighty and obviously made in small batches. I lifted the lid off and turned it upside down as there was a fair bit of filling stuck to it. Ate that first before methodically breaking pieces of the side off until I was left with just the base supporting a big dollop of filling. I now feel replete 😎

That's the way I eat individual custard tarts; eat the crimped pastry surround and then demolish the rest in two bites - !
Could be in one go, but I can be a civilised eater at times - !

Yes, I didn't mention the first stage which is to methodically work around the perimeter nibbling off the crenellations so the lid will lift of cleanly in one piece 👍

Me and pastry don't mix.....too much gives me terrible acid.
I enjoyed the Aldi open mince tarts. Tried to get some more t'other day but they have sold out.

Another 14 miles on the Wattbike. I’m trying to average 70 miles per week which isn’t too difficult.

Still pretty dismal out. I think tomorrow looks a bit better so I’ll hopefully get out. I don’t do well with lack of fresh air and feel trapped inside. I’ve got the windows open for some air.

I follow DC Rainmaker and his reviews of sports tech stuff. He usually uses a cooling fan when toing his indoor bike trainer reviews. Do you use one Mo or are your windows open so you can shout at the neighbours as they walk past... 😉

Nah, his car failed it's MOT.
