I've had a few Kindles over the years starting with the Kindle Keyboard. I had a Paperwhite which I left on the Caledonian Sleeper and never got back, then i got a Kindle Voyage. A few years ago I got a KoBo Libra H2O which has a 7" screen and is waterproof ( evidently some people like to read in the bath, on the beach, or by the swimming pool )
It's my favourite reader as the screen is very clear and it has forward / back buttons as well as the touch interface. The best bit is that I can borrow Library books directly though I tend to download them to my Laptop and store them in the excellent, free Calibre App.
Having the convenience of the Ereader is great, but it has also led to me visiting my local library and borrowing more " Tree Books " which aren't availabe in digital format. Books with illustrations tend to be better in traditional book format though I expect the larger format of Mo's Scribe would be just as good.

Morning. Jeez it’s wild out there. Yet another yellow warning for strong winds and heavy rain I better try and grab a quick walk before it gets any worse.

Today’s excitement is the green bin goes out and I have a hair cut at 11am, just as the wind and rain are to be at their worst. It was a cancellation so took the chance. I suspect whoever cancelled saw the weather forecast!

Good morning all.
Looks like it's going to be a reasonable day weatherwise. A bit of a breeze and sunny intervals are the order of the day.
I'll be out on the bike for a while and I need a few essentials from the local shops.
If the grass dry out I might give that a bit of a trim as it is looking a bit scruffy.
Talking of looking scruffy, I think I could do with a haircut also.

Lovely neighbour put my security camera up for me yesterday. Got to know him a lot better. Seems we share a lot of common interests.

Good morning. Just found a new option on my Garmin watch. If I selected a running workout it would buzz to notify me that I was running too fast / slowly. Found that it has an option to follow heart rate instead of pace. I'm off to check it out in a bit 🏃‍♂️

Ironing day today.

A serious tip (or several) for you as you have regular ironing days.
When possible try to wash your clothes before ironing, especially y fronts.
Have iron actually switched on. Hot is best but warm at a push.
Once ironed hang them outside to air. If it's raining, no probs, you can re-iron on the line when the rain stops......you will need an extension lead for this.

Don't thank me, its just a gift I have.

May I suggest a mohican. That way it won't matter if its very windy.

Morning all.
Obviously a day for haircuts. Mine is due at 10.00.......robber charges me 6 quid, terrible.
I then have a dark wash to do. None of my stuff ever sees an iron as its all casual and the tumble drier has a "ready to wear" setting so no creases.
My Bro and SiL are visiting Friday and I have decided on a slow cooked curry (Rogan Josh) so will start the preps today ready to marinate overnight tomorrow.

It's handy if you are doing some base training at zone 2 heart rate. I think I used it for a while when I was trying the Maffetone Method.

I'm sure zone 2 is the one that's more efficient at fat burning 🤞

Loads of different ideas about this. Some peeps are adamant that zone 2 burns more fat, others say some high intensity intervals are better and keep your metabolism raised for longer.

The older I get I find I am happier just plodding at a lower heart rate 80% of the time, and just the occasional day putting a bit more effort in. I seem to get exertion headaches after exercise if I do too much higher intensity stuff.
