No, but I have all the gear to make it, but it takes too much time and for one it's not worth it.

Electric eels are quite capable of generating electric, they don't require batteries.
And they're not fish either.

They do several types. On one, as you say the batter was too thick and stodgy.
I now get a pack of 2 from the chiller and they are very nice.....crispy batter etc.
