Depends how wide a circle of potential donors you can call on. Daughters 3 and 4, each, regularly (twice a year each) manage to raise that order of amount, in various sponsored runs/walks etc, usually for various Cancer Charities.
In both cases I would guess the typical donation is £10, so, you would need 45-50 donors.
Both daughters typically "advertise" their run/walk and solicit donations via Facebook, as well as word of mouth.

OK....you strike a hard bargain but if the jump is 2000 feet with no chute I will pay you when you land.

Yep, when I got into bike racing in the 80’s there seemed to be a lot of full time riders funded by their weekly giro’s.
