Morning all.
Some early risers I see. I was up at usual time of 07:30, the days of getting up at stupid o'clock have gone with retirement fortunately.
Another lovely day, sunny although a bit cool.
Cats fed, wife taken a cuppa, washing on. Cats get priority billing.

Good morning. It's certainly a fresh start to the day. I've had three good sleeps in a row. Very strange. I'm feeling very chipper and motivated.

I feel boring you with my list of things to get done would be just that.....boring. If I fix the old lawn-mower Mrs P will be very pleased. The height adjuster is bent outwards meaning it doesn't engage properly. Taking the wheel off, bending the lever back in should solve it. Can it be this simple????

#1 task is to prep my Cervelo. #2 task is to make flapjack. Tomorrow we're riding a century. Last week we did 84 gravel miles which is at least equal to 100 road miles. I got my food badly wrong and ended up cramming down tuna sandwiches and sausage rolls from a Texaco station. I wouldn't have made it home otherwise.

Thanks  66 today and finally get to collect my state pension.

10.4 mile walk done to celebrate. Brrrr, it was a chilly one.

Happy Birthday

(I'll be polite and not point out that I am not old enough yet - for a few months anyway!!)

You can't keep it secret you know. Happy birthday.

Just hope I’ve still got a few years to collect my pension. My blood test last month has shown up high cholesterol. Not surprised with all my years of yo-yo diets and binge eating. I’m back on the porridge in the mornings with a spoonful of ground flaxseed and started a few supplements that are supposed to help too. Must stick to healthy eating and stop the crap. Hopefully this will give me the kick up the arse I need to do something about it.
