Good morning all.
Another cloudy start to the day here, but due to get up to around 17⁰ this afternoon.
I'll be out with the dog shortly, and then another round of exercises
We are meeting up with some more friends at lunchtime at the Colney Fox in London Colney, the food is very good there. :hungry:

Good morning. I'm not sure what today brings, we will see. At the top of the Col de la Bonette we saw marmots emerging from hibernation only to immediately be hunted by the local foxes. Deer grazing the recently exposed grass. Circling birds of prey, I'm still unclear what and red squirrels in the valley, well one! A very good day.

As we began the drive up I began cycling it in my head. Not too bad I thought. This is doable. By the top I had changed my mind. 25.4km with an average gradient of 6.8% of which 21km is at 5% 🥶 We passed two roadies making the ascent. Chapeau 👏

All this talk of decluttering has got me thinking. We seem to be accumulating more stuff after our resolve rationalise following our clearing of Mrs Tkk's brothers house. We haven't had a car for several years now, so visits to the tip are inconvenient ( though we haven't a good friend who messages when they're having a tip run ). It's surprising how effective leaving stuff at the end of the drive is. I usually print out a " FREE " label, but for anything metal there's a man with a van who drives round the estate on occasion and will upload old cookers etc.
A skip is a good idea Mo, you can get smaller ones and perhaps you have neighbours that might want to take advantage while its there.

Hippo bags are also a good idea, you dont quite have the time pressure to fill it unlike a skip

Morning.
The inevitable glorious weather. How long will it last is the question, another few days at least it seems.
Washing on, hot tub checked, tea delivered to wife.
Plan today is remove and lubricate patio door lock as it's got very sticky.
After that a highly likely stint in the deckchair.

Morning all :hello:

My best mate is over in Ireland touring on his motorbike; his missus is coming over to us today and we're going for Sunday lunch at the Railway Inn.

Might be both an age and a cultural thing. Grandparents, in Ireland, would refuse to bake a loaf on a Sunday, considering it to be an invitation to bad luck to enter the house.
Both were farmers wives.

Your Grandfather was a farmers wife? How very progressive.
