especially as it is mostly jibberish - but that is what it says

I think I got a badge or something

Don't we get badges as it's us that have to read them ^_^

Just a delayed reply to the different social media platforms….

I understand how many don’t partake, & that’s fine.
When I walked my 180km Camino recently, I could post one post on FB & know (from views & some comments!) that 40-60 pals had seen/liked/laughed at it - I found that positive (& even slightly motivating, if I’m honest!).

Had one pal, who is reluctantly on FB, WhatsApp me for an update: well, I pointed him to FB - I don’t want to type notes to multiple people!!

Use the things for what you like, or indeed don’t - that’s the flexibility of it all 👍

Yes, most definitely @Mo1959
I have this with ex-wife's "new" husband. If we are both present, at our Son's, and Grandchildren are there, he spends the whole time trying to "out grandad" me.

I find it really amusing, and, I must admit to sometimes (well, ok, often) deliberately leading him on.

The oldest grandchild in question, is now 15yo, and, has obviously noticed the interaction. There was, for example, one occasion when myself and grandson were painting their garden fence. We ran out of paint, and, I said to grandson, I will be back with more paint in a couple of days. Grandson, said "relax, grandad, grandad x will be here tomorrow to finish it off, just to beat you".

This was my first experience of competitive granddading. I found it very strange. When I'm with my granddaughters, especially at their own homes, I just leave them to it. I don't force myself on them but wait for the "Granddad will you? can we? moment." It always comes and is worth waiting for. T'other Granddad's approach was to keep pushing in which felt very much as look at me.........for my benefit!

When everyone had gone the little one wandered over and climbed into my lap. That was the moment.
