Well. We had a short stroll near Appin and finished off with a quiet drink outside a hotel. The ferry to Lismore departs directly opposite. A couple with bikes pulled up in the parking space reserved for ambulances and began to unload the bikes and associated kit. It was clear they were heading for the ferry.
A rather "large" older man came rushing down the steps, very flustered "you can't park there, ambulances only." "We're only unloading then I'll go in the car park." "Well I wouldn't want you there when I'm having a heart attack and need the ambulance!" (He looked a prime candidate for an HA) The flustered, cross man turned back up the steps clearly muttering four letter remarks under his breath.
Paul smiled to himself. A bit later cross man came out with a woman and they walked off towards the village.
A bit later we drove towards the village, single track road. A car is approaching and there's a passing place on my left which I slowly drift into. Cross man is stood in the passing place, starts gesticulating at me, pointing at the passing place sign. I stop. He comes over, knocks on window, "you can't park here." I point out the car approaching. He then mutters something at me. I ask " What's the problem? You've just been very rude to people back there" He stomps off, turns on his heel, comes back and tells me I can f*** off.
All rather bizarre. The hotel we were sat outside with a beer is the expensive seafood place we're going to this evening. I'm rather hoping it turns out this very cross man is the owner. 🤣🤣🤣
