Our rating system is a bit weird. It’s based on house values from years ago for some reason. I think when I bought this place 30 years ago I paid something like £52,000 so it’s a band D.

I got a walk done with nothing more than a few spits and spots. Porridge just finished and having a big mug of decaf.

Yes, I think we're based on a value from 1991 which has lead to the strange situation that on our terrace of 7 properties there are houses on three different bands.

We paid £23000 for our house 43 years ago.

Because I'm on the end of a row of terraced houses I've got a garage. I'm in band B, all the others are band A. When I moved here I found it amusing that it was called a one and a half story house rather than a dorma style bungalow.

My cardboard box on the side of the road is band A, it should be - A for what the council do for us.

On the path leading down to our front door is a load of shrubs, but it is over grown with blackberrys bushes
what it wants is to dig the whole lot up and start again, but the housing association wouldn't do that.
So I had tried to pull and cut as many stems as I can as they grow all over the path, look a lot better now.

You have a whole cardboard box to yourself ?
When we were kids we shared one with 3 other families.
