Off to Minehead for shopping this morning.
Last week of the Flying Scotsman on the WSR starts today.
Must say it's been a bit of a disappointment - very quiet on the chuffing and whistling. I was expecting a bit of a fire breathing monster.

Apart from looking great, hauling a few carriages at a maximum speed of 25mph on a heritage railway, instead of 15 coaches up the long hill from King's Cross at full bore, is never going to really get the juices flowing.

Morning folks the old buzzard keeps buzzing me even as his/hers chicks are up and flying, think it enjoys it so much its going to carry on all year! Had quite a spending spree lately having sold the ebike...apart from luggage/rack/saddle got myself a nice new hummvee waterproof jacket, never know i might start to look like a real cyclist

Decent day but blowing a literal gale.
As it's Northerly I definitely won't be riding so it's weights.
One of the cats is under the weather and sneezing so potentially an expensive trip to vets on the cards.

A question. A workmate/friend of mine passed away suddenly yesterday evening. He was a lovely chap and condolences to the family have been expressed via his Fb page.
The question is: how long before I delete him from my 'freinds' on Fb?
Maybe a week? 🤔

BTW no 'sorry for your loss' sentimences are necessary.

One of my relations (through marriage), their daughter died (tragic, cancer, only 40). This happened about 6 years ago. They still have her FB account open, and post birthdays, memory etc. A bit strange I think, but, each to their own.

I have plenty of flowers on mine, and the first beans are about 1/2 an inch long.a week or so before i can start picking.

Frozen is supposed to be just as good if not better than fresh anyway.

I had it down the throat some years ago. The stupid nurse said I won't need sedation when what she really meant was she couldn't be arsed......worst experience of my life.
For this one the Doc has advised me to have "double sedation" whatever that is.

Amateurs! I have mentioned it before but I had both ends sequentially on one occasion ( and yes, they did rinse it under the tap before shoving it down my throat) 😉🤣
