Aldi have opened a new/refurbished and enlarged store about 15 minutes drive from here. It has a bakery so I feel fresh croissants coming on.

Good morning all.
A sunny start to the day.
Sainsbury's are delivering the weekly goodies between 9 and 10 of the AM clock.
Dog walking, some cycling, and my prescription is ready to pick up from the pharmacy, which just happens to be near to the Mitre so a pint or two might be partaken on the way home.
Morning.
Still a bit overcast but forecast is excellent for next 5 days or so. Nice.
Plan today is build a scaffold and put back up the weathervane that blew done/broke during a winter storm. After months of not finding what we wanted as a new one, I found a blacksmith who specialises in making them who repaired my old one good as new. Result.
Thing is it's big and pretty heavy so fixing it on gable end of garage is a job and and half hence scaffold required as it's about 6m high. Fortunatley I'm OK with heights.
I also need to cut the grass but it's clover time and the bees love it so I'm reluctant to remove a food source although most of it should be below cut height but issue I find is they don't fly off when I approach on mower and I hate it if I should "collect" any so I'm constantly having to stop, get off and shoo them away which is gets a bit of a pain after a while as they just move over a few metres so next run same again.
Bees are an endangered species due to mankind destroying their natural habitat and climate change(sorry not on hobby horse, its a fact) so I'm loath to do anything which might affect them.
Morning all
General stuff to do today.
Still waiting on a part to finish off the Barracuda.
Had contact with an old workmate yesterday. He was 68 the day before, so I had wished him a happy birthday on FB. He then messaged me for a chat. Turns out he was diagnosed with a rare incurable cancer 4 months ago and it's only the drugs that are keeping him alive now. Doesn't know how much longer he has.
Sometimes I feel such a lucky git!
I like bees too. There’s definitely a noticeable decline in numbers of them and also I haven’t seen many butterflies either last year or this year so far.![]()
