I am back and actually did 61kms. It is now 25 degrees so glad to be back .

A very nice cycle around, went to the farm and got a dozen eggs and stopped at the Mitre on the way home.
We have an appointment st the Vets at 4.45pm to discuss Millie's back problem. She is much improved over recent weeks, but we need to know what the problem is and can anything be done.

Had a walk along the Mineral Line and took a picture of the Flying Scotsman before we had lunch in the Star.

Back from a hot & sweaty 25 miles around the town.. Popped in to see granddaughter and then a cuppa with a mate in Duston to give him a set of brake pads that don't fit my bike.

Am down at the sailing club early today . Got the club boat out to check it over and I’ve done a few jobs . Am now sat having a drink, watching the wildlife , waiting for Mrs exlaser to finish work.
There are worst places to spend a few hours.

Decided to take a drive over to Aberfoyle. Now I've splash out on a new gravel bike I thought I need some gravel to justify the price. I just picked a route off the t'internet quite at random. I must have picked the hilliest steepest route they have. 43km of straight up and straight down, I'm totally knackered. And, how come when doing a circuit it's nine tenths up hill and only one tenth down?
It's was also extremely midge.

Went out for a ride this afternoon - normal thing - 21 miles becasue the tide was out
it is shorter when the tide is in
or the other way round



anyway - when I got back I realised that we needed some shopping

got to Tesco and the Scan as you SHop thingy was out of order - so I had to just get stuff and put in in the trolley

got to teh checkouts and realised that - due to several decent fofers that saved me quite a bit - I had more than I expected
so I thought it would be better to use an old fashioned manned check out
only 2 in operation
so I queued up behind 2 blokes and a couple who were being checked out and nearly finished

when they were finished the cashier asked if they had ClubCard
so took quite a while to find it and it was scanned
then she had to pay
I have no idea what she was looking at but she was scrolling up and down on her phone for a good FIVE minutes looking for something
In the end she had a head-to-head discussion with the bloke with her and he paid with his card

but WHAT????


then the 2 blokes ahead of me started - they were chatting a lot
as a result when the first blokes stuff was all done the cashier didn;t realise that she had started on the 2nd blokes stuff (there was no divider)
so she had to go back and delete stuff - which took a bit of time

then the otehr bloke's stuff had to be done



FINALLY it was mu turn and I was done in no time and had my cards ready



made me realise why I started to use the scaner that you take round with you
