Morning.
Much cooler outside but I still had a bit of crappy sleep, too hot.
I'm definitely considering AC now if this is the new norm.
A day of driving today unfortunately.

It's a bit cooler at the moment with a nice breeze.
I'm meeting up with the rest of the escape committee shortly and heading off to King's Cross. Breakfast first and then the 1200 train to Bonnie Scotland. Inverness today and then up to Thurso tomorrow.

For some reason I can't sign in to CC on my tablet but can on my phone.
Been having all sorts of weird sign in issues on all my tech since having the new phone.
It's getting frustrating now!

I can lend you my 2 grandchildren to sort it but you will have to collect them.
Not bothered about returns though.

That’s the heavy rain on here too now. Only problem was the breeze was blowing it in the windows at the back so I’ve had to shut them.

Just been to have a haircut

The place is very small - normally just the owner
but this time she had an assistant - your woman - probably 16/17 or something - who just did the basic bits like sweeping up and sitting people down and the like

anyway - the owner did the hair stuff and handed me over to the assitant to take the money

I gave her a £20 as that was all I had
and she looked confused
took a £10 out and then started getting some coins out
and put the £10 and a load fo £1 coins on the counter for me
she noticed that I was looking confused/amused and asked if that was right
I asked her how much was there - she said £19 (!!!!!)
I asked how much I owed - she said £9

and she paused looking worried

so I took pity and told her it should be £11 change


some poor bugger was her Maths teacher a short time ago!!!
