Well we're back

Emergency phone call at about 12:45 as the elest grand child - female - had rung her Mum becuase she was home
and had just discovered that she had forgotten her keys
so she was stuck on the doorstep

we were due to leave soon anyway so we just hurried up a bit
my wfe refused to send the message "Pops says you are a prat"
so I had to leave it until we got there

she had not even thoyght of trying to open their back gate and sitting in teh garden on the comfy garden chairs
Honestly!
I would at least tried!

Middle grandson arrived on "his" bus from his special school at about 2:30 - finished early due to end of term

Then had to go and get the youngest and their cousin from the Primary school - they finish nex t Tuesday so normal time today

funny thing on the way back
There is a busy junction controlled by traffic lights
there was a queue - as ususal - and it moved forward but the lights went red when the car in front was just crossing the line
so - clearly - I had to stop
a few seconds later someone in the queue behind me blew his (probably!) horn FOUR times

then a while later when they were STILL on red - blew it again - FIVE times this time

not exactly sure why - but there you go

and then on teh motorway home 3 different people tried to undertake me when I was trying to move into the inner lane
I was doing 70 at the time in all 3 cases

maybe the planets are in a strange position today???

The Victorian Assistant Police Commissioner for traffic nailed it in an interview on traffic deaths - entitled and arrogant drivers so until parents and schools amend their approach yibbida yibbida.

Early to bed with a book and a labrador.

Looking back, I think Bruce knew I was unwell. Second half of last week he was sticking to me like glue and I did half wonder then if he could sense something.

It is well known now that dogs have this 6th sense that they can detect illnesses in humans before us.
They really are splendid animals.

Good day to all.
Not raining 'yet' but it's due at 0800 and we (like others) are due some awful weather.
I am at the hospital at 10.00 to have bloods taken. The Doc put me on a short course of Magnesium and wants to check that it's worked.
Just had my vitamin medication stuff so must wait 30 mins before I have my cuppa, looking forward to that.

Good morning, it's overcast and cooler ( just checked, 24 degrees in the bedroom 😮). Will head out for a jog shortly, I finally worked out a route that's exactly a 1Km loop. A mixed undulating terrain of grass, gravel and tarmac underfoot, partially shaded and quiet for the most part.
Mrs Tkk arrives home this afternoon, she'll be heading back up to collect granddaughter #2 in a couple of weeks, while she's there she'll be visiting the Apple store to have the battery replaced in her 12 Mini, and going for a test ride on the Brompton G line from the Covent Garden store.

Can I be getting addicted ?)
Since Covid wrecked my appetite breakfast (as a meal) has disappeared. I am glad to feel that coming back.
But......a few weeks ago I had a cuppa together with a small KitKat 1st thing and now really look forward to my new ritual.
BTW the 'bloods' people told me to eat and drink before my 10 O'clock appointment.

Morning all :hello:

Still waiting on the final part - a fuel cap - to finish off the Barracuda.
Ebay seller said 2-3 day delivery when I ordered it on 11th July.
After 4 days I queried it and got an automated email from them stating that they were out of the office until the 16th and that they will post it when they get back.
Tracking says it will be delivered this morning.
They won't be getting good feedback off me!
