An early (too early) good morning to all.
A note for @PaulSB ...I see Blackburn beat the Toffees. Everton will say "it was only a friendly" but it will hurt which is good ^_^
Bad weather for all/most today I think.
Not enough sleep last night so will go back for an hour shortly.

Yep, from what I've read, which isn't much, it was a decent performance and result. The pictures on Facebook suggest a good crowd.

Speaking of Everton, you'll know the area Dave, we cycled right by the new stadium a couple of weeks ago. What a strange place to build a football ground? There's nothing there. No parking. No buses. No trains. No shops. It looks like a new football stadium was just dropped from the sky slap in the middle of derelict docklands. It must be chaos on match day. Who would want to be an Everton fan?

I find it impossible to understand who thought this is a good plan.

Morning.
Up early for cycling event, only 50 miles but with around 5500ft climbing it's going to be a toughie.
Rained overnight but drying up now fortunately.

I remember when 50 miles felt reasonably easy too. Sadly these days have gone.

It’s lashing down again. I’m considering walking with a big umbrella rather than a jacket as it would be cooler

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
Good morning all. I'm back home after my travels to the far north.
It's a grey start to the day here, with heavy rain showers forecast. It rained yesterday and my butt is already full.
MrsP has booked tickets for a dance show this evening at a theatre in London so that's the plan for lateron.

The golden ratio plus a bit. Enjoy!

Good morning. The forecast is dreadful at 70/80% rain all day. At the moment it should be hammering down. Bright and sunny here folks. I have two important tasks today - bike cleaning and clearing a weedy patch on the allotment. Logic says tackle the allotment first as the bikes can wait. Usually I would do this but this morning I'm thinking sod it.......I want to clean my bikes. It's important to me. That comes first.

We had a great day yesterday. Granddad and #1SP, it was hard to decide who was the more nackered? I did 9800 steps without getting anywhere!!! She spent three hours non-stop in the playground; climbing frames, slides, swings, all that stuff. Round and round. Up and down. One stop for picnic and that was it. Then a long walk to the cafe for ice cream, a walk around the gardens inspecting the flowers followed by getting lost in the maze! One interesting thing. When we arrived she immediately spotted the funfair. This was new, opened yesterday. My heart sank as I imagined we would spend hours and a fortune on bouncy castles and rides but, no, straight off to duck feeding. Later we had to walk by the fair to reach the cafe. #1SP asked a few questions about it. If the inevitable "Can I have a go?" came Granddad would have said yes but she showed no interest in the rides. I was very surprised by this.

Right enough rabbiting on. I need to exercise, eat breakfast and clean bikes. 👋👋

Morning folks :okay: soggy old day here so going for a spin isnt likely.... Getting twitchy to get my great planting scheme underway but will have to wait until the growing season is winding down, its looking quite anarchic at the mo with rampant growth everywhere and loads of plants/trees in pots waiting to go in. Ive never been one for an orderly garden but getting the main plants in would give structure and backbone and free up space for a greenhouse. :okay:
