It's a lovely afternoon here. Sunny but with a breeze.

I've been pottering. Sorting through more stuff

Some questions, if I may be so bold.
1. Is just anyone allowed to 'potter' ?
2. Are there any rules for pottering ?
3. Where can the 'pottering' instructions be found eg is there a pottering handbook I can send for ?

Watching some blokes riding bikes on the big screen - unfortunately the cat is refusing to move her chair, I hope nothing exciting happens in the blank part of the screen

Mine was curled up on my lap, not interested in the cycling. I did notice her looking at the cats on the Cats Protection ad though.

After cycling up to the market this morning, I got the carpet cleaner out and gave the back room mat, the front room and the hall carpets a quick wash, before settling down to watch stage 20 of the Tour.
Half a bottle of Cote du Rhone white, and a bottle of Leffe blonde later I am feeling a bit mellow.

Nothing to report today. Just a lazy day doing nothing. I did consider a bike ride for 5 minutes but couldn't be bothered.

As far as I can see you end up with basically the same working parts

but pay a lot for teh extra features such as the ability to microwave a potato perfectly by pressing a few buttons
presuming that the potato complies with the specification expected by "the system"

and anyway - within a few weeks you will have tried out half teh features and found that it is easier to just put it on either "nuke" or "defrost" for the amount of time you calculate from experience
then check it and do a bit more if needed

so you just use the top manual setting and the default defrost setting and never use the rest that took up half the cost (or more)

That's pretty much the principle we employ for all our domestic appliances. Three functions required; on, do the job and off.

So we went to Chorley Flower Show. It was very good though #2SP wasn't impressed. She had a two hour tantrum........the sort that has everyone within 100 yards looking at you and tutting.

We're home now. She was quite happy until I took the little caddy we use for compostable kitchen waste away from her. She'd carried it from the kitchen to the front room. We now have another full on tantrum..........which we've decided to straight out ignore 🤣

A few months back I mentioned HG limescale remover. It works very well but not following the manufacturer's instructions. I've found emptying a third of the bottle into the pan, leave for 8 - 10 hours and then vigorously scrub with the toilet brush works wonders.

Is there no end to this man's daily multi-tasking I hear you ask? No! Screaming toddlers, toilet descaling all in his stride.......
