Back from my walk.
When I started out it looked like the rain was coming an hour earlier than promised but I was brave and it held back for me.
The old legs did well today though I was glad to get in and sit down.
Now......do I practice pottering or read while listening to the radio? Big decision!

Morning all :hello:

Tip run first thing with 2 dumpy bags of garden cuttings, then doing a bit of shopping.
Sold my old press within 30 minutes of posting it of FB and a guy collected it last night; new one should arrive this week.

Morning.
Back from a busy weekend away. Washing on, coffee being consumed along with the inevitable porridge then it's bike o'clock.

Shame TdF has finished, that was epic.

I saw the Tour up to the point the stage winner, I won't name him in case anyone doesn't know, crossed the line then I turned over to watch the Women's football.
I am now catching up with the end of tour interviews and podium awards.

Well - just watched the final stage of teh TdF

sad that the ITV coverage is ending - I have been watching it for years and it was sort of part of my life

The sort of thing from my old life that anchored me back to reality when I split up with my ex (who hated anything I liked looking back!)

anyway - we will see what can be done next year!

As for today - picking up the grand-daughter and the "other grandparents" from Manchester airport this morning
flight is delayed so I have a few more minutes

feeling a bit taken advantage of on this
they had not asked anyone to pick them up and just commented "are you picking us up as well" when I picked them up to go there

Kinda left me in a situation where I couldn;t say no unless I had something important on
and left me feeling that if I couldn't then I would have to sort something out for them while they were away

can't really say anything but FFS - sort yourselves out!!

anyway - whatever

Never mind, you will get your reward in heaven, or, not, as the case may be 😊

Yes, each year just seems to get better and better. Sadly, I won’t be watching again as I ain’t paying for TNT.

Pleasant 6.8 mile walk done. It was very quiet. I only met one man running with his dog and another couple I know also with a small dog.

I might have to bite the bullet and stump up for Disco+, you can cancel payments when there is nothing on you want to watch, and I did like watching the one day classics in the early part of the season. 🤔

I went into Stirling a week ago for a few bits, of course I needed to change something. So, today I cycled in 12km each way. Not far but it's so humid I'm now dripping wet with sweat. Not sure why I'm keeping the car, I only use it about twice a month. It's just a pain trying to get the 16ft long kayak on the bus.

Can you use it on Gartmorn?
