Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Houseworky stuff done. I have a load of washing that's nearly finished. Mr WD is on the roof again.

Agreed. I watched this a few months ago and thought it was superb.Finished watching 1883. Wow. Just wow. Slower paced than 1923 but very compelling viewing. Such a sad ending as well - even big ruffty me almost had a tear in my eye.
Back from my walk. Thought at one stage I had pushed it too far, good job the stroller has a seat as I enjoyed a 5 minute break in the sunshine.
I found it a bit depressing at one point (allow me to explain).........
A regular walk with Sue was through green belt woodland. Any way, a BIG London developer got permission to build 1400 houses on it. It's taken 6 years of fighting by the anti-build group but it was obvious that money would talk and the 1st residents have moved in. I kid you not, some of the apartments are literally 25 mtrs from the bank of the M62....see photo below... the fence to the left is the M62

My place is perhaps 1 mile away (as the crow flies) and on a still day we can sometimes hear the 'buz' from the M62. God knows how they can get ANY pleasure from living right next to it. Logic says the council/law should not allow it. But we all know that large backhanders work wonders. That's insane. Who in their right mind would buy a house next to the M62. Cars!! On the pavement. This one really gets me going. Developers should be required by law to provide a minimum of two parking places, excluding the garage, for all new builds.
We have new builds all over the place in Chorley. Not one of them has adequate parking. There's a guy trying to develop four properties on local farmland. There is acres of space. The planners have noted one additional space is needed to match their criteria. Why not just plan it in the first place? Mind you we all know the guy, he has a dreadful reputation, so it's no surprise.
Wait until someone puts the tinned tomatoes in't freezer!Hello again.![]()
Paul is feeling better. I managed another hour's sleep and then slowly attacked chores.
Then I opened the fridge and got very cross with the fridge! Yes. Someone, no names, wasn't me, crammed loads of stuff in, knocked the temperature control and the door didn't shut properly. GRRRR. The fridge was frozen. I've defrosted, cleaned etc. Turned out to be a good release valve.
I've found the tomatoes 🍅 👍👏 They have been missing for sometime. On Thursday I made a tomato salad. On Friday I couldn't find the tomatoes. They were in the cupboard were we keep the tins. Of course, they were. Where else????
