I think some do. I’m sure my step mum put hers into a little charger. She was quite well off though and paid for them so maybe they were fancier than the NHS ones?
It very much depends on how much one can afford. I went to Boots for my first hearing test. The audiologist fitted several pairs for me to try. They were all very good, the things one could do with the £3000 pair were mind-blowing, no doubt even more so five years later.

I said I'd stick with the NHS ones only to be told Boots don't do NHS aids. I went to Specsavers!!!

My NHS aids are Bluetooth and do all I need. They don't connect to the TV. They would be brilliant if that could be done.

The rechargeable thing begs the question what to do when they're charging??

Started young, and still going.

Barnet,
Good morning all, almost cloudy start to the day here.
I have a dental check up at 09.45, so I'll cycle down to the surgery.
I have a train ticket to pick up from the machine at my local station for tomorrow's trip to the coast, so I'll do that whilst I am out and about.

Just spent two hours booking a train ticket for myself and a bike from Stirling to Oban, Ferries from Oban to Barra, Barra to Eriskay, Berrernay to Leverburgh and Stornoway to Ullapool. Plus the bus from Ullapool to Inverness. Then I tried to book the train from Inverness back to Stirling. I've had three goes so far, it just doesn't seem to want me to book a one way ticket for one person and a bicycle using a veterans railcard. No trouble on the Stirling to Oban leg but it's just not having it from Inverness back to Stirling.

I think I might just go for a walk and try again later.

Oh, you lucky, lucky man. This remains one of the top three bike rides of my life. It's absolutely fantastic. Enjoy. Enjoy. Enjoy.

If you want to avoid a very nasty little climb go round the western side of Barra. Make sure you pop down to Vatersay before heading north. Oh and if it's still there the little shop by Castlebray harbour has salmon baps/barms/tea cakes/rolls/sarnies to die for.

You've brought back so many memories. I'm so jealous.

Good morning. Not unlike your local correspondent it's grey and cool. This morning I have a u3a committee in two hours time. Must get a shift on as I need to stretch, weights and breakfast before then.

Later I'm bobbing down to Tesco for odds and ends and to let the nice Polish guys valet my car. I know, I know but it takes them 45 minutes and me hours plus a lot of grief from Mrs P.

OK. I'll pop back later. Oh @Baldy what have you done. I'm going to spend the entire day mentally riding the Hebrides. 😃😃😃

Hence a £1 coin for scale.. I would imagine that anyone with less than agile hands/fingers or poor eyesight might struggle!
They come in a pack of 6, each in individual pockets.
Each battery has a 'Peel off' protective mini strip (orange in photo).
They can only fit one way and even I can slip them in easily.

Sleep?

Morning. Much cooler here this morning. Walked a bit then jogged back for just over two miles. It's a start. I'm hoping to get back into running a bit more now that it's cooling down. If I'm honest, I prefer running to cycling. Am I allowed to say that on a cycling forum?
