Good morning all.
I slept very heavy last night and feel hungover........hopefully I come round soon.
No plans for the day.
Oh......and we have the promised rain.

Morning all :hello:

Looking good today, might go for a walk somewhere cool, maybe up in the woods.
Did my good deed for the day, yesterday; welded my neighbours ladder brackets back together for him.

If you are going to the woods maybe you can take Welshie, she was telling me that no-one has taken her there for a while.
I would offer but have a very busy schedule .

Not sure what is happening today

I did have an appointment to help some people via Age Concern
but I think they have been sorted out by their GP - it was a NHS App type thingy

but they may want to have a chat about it anyway

also - I used to help out with computery things with the FoodBank - and they want a chat about something
sometime

so I might see if I can meet up with the manager if I am free

Honestly - working was easier
just go in every week day and then do whatever is needed
this volunteering stuff is more freewheeling
which is rather confusing at times!!!

anyway - waking up this morning the front was totally dry

the back was soaked

so I presume it rained overnight and the "drying factor" was marginal so the open front garden dried
but the trees at the back meant that the back didn;t

whatever - the grass go at least some water!

No here it isn't

Thinking of using my bike to get to Runcorn rather than the car

may regret it
Only one way to find out.

Morning.
Sleep interupted by beeping noise at 0300. I get up to investigate and it's carbon monoxide sensor in lounge which is fixed to the ceiling. So, I get chair and remove sensor, only issue is it's one with a non replaceable/no rechargeable battery. So, it's fixed life span has expired. The only thing I could think of to silence it without getting hammer and smashing it etc which at 3am I wasn't doing so I put in in a jug of water. Thought was it'll short out, stop it beeping and I'll sort out properly at a sensible time.
Anyway, I get up 0800 and check. Sensor in water silent. I remove it and minutes later starts to beep again! WTF. Anyway, now terminally sorted with said hammer. New CO monitor on order (although we have several around house).

Granddad went back to sleep until the small one woke at 7.30. Pretty good. She's helping me with chores, genuinely enjoys this and then we're going out. #1 has chosen Clitheroe Castle. A great choice as there's a play park, she wants to visit the castle (it's likely to rain), there's a cafe and an ice cream shop. Excellent all round. Next she'll help make the picnic.
