Done walking, it was nice out 19c
It looks like we pensioners may have to pay national insurance and income tax too if Reeves gets her own way,
life won't be worth living soon, maybe that's why they brought in assisted killing bill in to power.
Are you sure about this? The news I heard was that an organisation, whose name I forget, is calling for a 2p reduction in NI and a 2p increase in basic rate tax. Reeves has said she intends to stand by the Labour pledge not to increase income taxes.

Good morning. Dark and chilly with a glorious forecast. We're off to the Lakes this morning for a couple of days walking. We will be staying at Woolpack Inn Eskdale - Scafell Pike - Lake District https://share.google/zyEIRlK3LdlIvK6jI

This has sparked some debate. The pub is at the base of Hardknott. I mentioned this could be a good opportunity for me to test my post RTC cycling comeback and climbing - I've successfully ridden Hardknott six times. I would love to see if I'm still capable, especially as we are entering The Fred next year. Apparently this would NOT be a good opportunity. Very rude in my view.

Then there is the discussion on which route to take driving up. We need to be the far side of Hardknott. One option is skirt the bottom (88 miles), the other is the direct route. This "direct" route involves the Langdales (beautiful) and then Blea Tarn, Wrynose and Hardknott (76 miles) - all from the steeper, harder sides. I know, I've ridden these roads perhaps 12 - 15 times. OK, on a bike it's a huge challenge but the thought of driving my car round 125⁰ bends with a 25-30% incline ?? 😲😲😲. Descending Hardknott on this side is genuinely truly terrifying, driving up it just as bad.

We will see.......anyway I must crack on we have to collect our friends in 75 minutes.......picnic to make etc. If I'm not back, I'm stuck halfway up a Lake District back road, please call the AA and Mountain Rescue.

Barnet,
Good morning all.
A bit cloudy out there at the moment, but still a bit chilly.
Our son wants to meet up at lunchtime, he's paying 😁 .
Other than that, all the usual stuff to do today. The washing machine will be doing its stuff soon, and then I'll be out with the dog. 🐕

Morning all :hello:

Busy morning; Tesco first thing, then off to the dentist for a check up. Dropping in to the Star on the way back for lunch.
Sat in bed at the moment watching 3 mahoosive house spiders chasing each other around the bedroom walls. They're pretty energetic - on lap 2 now.

Morning.
Another glorious day.
Tip run to take grass from mowing lawn then it's hedge time - again.
I might also find the need to exercise the deckchair again, I thought I'd put it away for the year but last two days it's been gainfully employed and looks like it's good for a few more days yet looking at forecast.

Good morning........I think. Is it morning??
A weird night's sleep. Lots of dreams, one of them I recall was not nice AND THEN I overslept till 08.15. Yesterday I was awake from 0300, maybe that caught up on me.
I should go to Aldi. The plan WAS to be there at 0800 but that may not happen ^_^
