Van cleaned, fresh water tank refilled, Webasto heater run up to temp for about 20 mins, all kit checked.

I think rather than coming off the M1 at J28 I'll head up to 29 and strike West, through Chesterfield and head in from the North. It looks a nice drive with some great scenery.

@PeteXXX we'll be camping near Ashford on the Water and walking down into Bakewell.

Got the treadmill up and  running walking.
it is very stable and smooth.

Difficult to see from the photo but the bird feeders are right outside.

Well it's REAL in that it exists.

Was looking for something similar yesterday at a big showroom.

Some are incredibly realistic - we have a few earmarked at around £2k although they go up to £6k+.

These three, which use the same fire insert caught our eye - for an extra £95 you can get big silver beech logs instead of the smaller standard ones, too:

Mine is nothing like as good as those.
Its 2 kw (I think).
Twas less than 100 quid from Aldi.

Those shown are 2Kw, too. We only want one for the realistic flame effect for our new house (when we finally get there) - a new build without a fire.

They are stunningly 'real' looking.

Some come with crackling effects but we thought they sounded naff, tbh.

We will miss our real open fire.
