Good morning. It's a beautiful day in sunny Lancashire. I'm currently sat in the hospital pharmacy waiting to pick up some heavy duty Cocodamol. She's in a lot of pain.
Inside I'm irrationally angry at the silly circumstances which lead to her fall. It could so easily have been avoided if people didn't fly into a blind panic when things go wrong.
The speaker for our u3a meeting turned up and 20 minutes before she's due to start announces "my laptop is dodgy, can I borrow one." Paul gets a phone call "can we borrow your laptop?" "Yes, but I'm naked, I'll be there in ten minutes." In fact I was wearing leg warmers and a base layer and about to put on my bib shorts. Not a pretty sight!!!! I live 3 - 4 minutes from the venue so I felt 10 minutes was reasonable. This wasn't quick enough so the caller said "I'll ask Maria to come and get it."
This despite me pointing out without me being physically present the laptop won't allow access. Facial recognition.
All very avoidable if people were better organised and less impatient.
