Morning. I was in no rush to get up as it’s a wet start for us. It’s due to off by around 9 so I’ll walk later.

Barnet,
Good morning all fellow retirees.
A grey start to the day, with a slight breeze. But from the forecast that will change markedly. Heavy thundery showers and a gusty wind .
I have a few things to do today, should I get the bike out, or go on the bus.🤔
Our Daughter is calling in after work so I'm going to cook a Lamb hotpot for tea.
Enjoy your day everyone

Good morning all.
Supposed to be bright this morning with rain coming in at mid day.
Being on Virgin I get the radio through my TV. So I switched on earlier and for some reason I got the TV shopping channel. I decided to watch for 10 minutes!!!!!
TBF the 2 products I saw were quite good BUT they don't half go on
and on
and on.
Radio is on now, coffee is slurped and I feel ready for bed again.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a temporarily dry Dorset. A busy week ahead and I'm off on the train to Bristol on Wednesday to meet my older brother. Not seen him for decades due to him living in the arse end of nowhere ( Somerset ) 😉. Will be looking for somewhere decent to eat near the train station. We really like Bristol but it's a convoluted journey from Poole which breaks down into approximately 3, three hour legs, train to Bristol, lunch and catch up, train to Poole. There used to be a direct coach but now it goes via London.
Weymouth on Friday for our " Second Friday " get together 🍺

Dirk, is there actually a Beer Inn in Beer ?
Mr Google indicates that there isn't which is disappointing. I was going to tell my son that you would be having.........
a beer in the Beer inn in Beer.
If there is would you post a photo please.
There was the " Midsummer Dream " run that did a circular loop of about 12 - 16 miles starting at the Hook and Parrot on Seaton seafront. There were 6 pubs en route and your entry fee included a pint in each pub. The penultimate stop was in Beer and I'm almost certain that this is the pub. There was also a cream tea at a village hall approximately half way round 😎
