Bob Dylan concert at Earls Court in 1978? I think I was at that one too.
I think I'm right in saying it was the same tour and very similar set list to the album Bob Dylan at Budokan which is a live recording from the tour.

Today is my 65th birthday. I can now officially post on this thread, seeing as once of a day men reaching 65 meant it was their retirement day! That's not the case now as I don't start to receive my pension till February 2027, and I'm still working part-time, but I'm quite chuffed I made it to 'oap' age!😉👍

You don't look a day over 64  .
Happy birthday to you.

Spent most of Friday helping to set up the Trash and Treasure stall for the Church Fete..
Pictured here today just before the vultures were admitted

Good morning from a wet, grey, cold Leeds but at least it's not pouring with rain. I'm sitting quietly in a jar in a Travelodge trying not to disturb Mrs P.

So last night we listened to Bob Dylan. We didn't see Bob Dylan. The stage was black, enough light for the musicians to see what they were doing. We couldn't see Dylan for the entire performance as he sat centre stage behind his piano. He played piano, harmonica and sang. I think, it was dark, there were three guitar players and a drummer. It was wonderful. Lots of material from his latest able, very bluesy, lots of rhythm
piano along with reworking of 4 - 5 classics.

When I say reworking - until one caught the lyrics the song was unidentifiable.

That's Dylan. The sixth time I've seen him. Each time utterly different. Last night we actually "saw" him for perhaps 20 seconds. Great night. Loved it. Bob didn't speak a word.

It was a phone free show. On entry one's given a lockable pouch, pop your phone in, attendant locks it, take phone back afterwards to be unlocked. Works brilliantly and eliminates an audience filled with bright screens. An excellent innovation.
