An afternoon of repurposing some Ikea storage cubes that live under the stairs and where we kept our Brommies. They're usually assembled with a matrix of 4 dividers, but for brommie storage you leave those parts out during assembly. Fortunately I had stashed the then superfluous bits in the shed so have completely dismantled and reassembled 3 units complete with the parts that were originally omitted.
I expect Mrs Tkk will soon have them filled with stuff that I never knew we had. 🤔

Don't get me started on parking apps! :ninja:
They are a decent idea and I do use them but..........several of the car parks down this way have pay by app, but no phone signal.
Bit of a bugger if you've no change in your pocket. Worst one is in Lynmouth.

I had that last time we went to Cornwall
My wife went into the town with her son and his family and I went to park the car

They were getting worried when I didn;t appear for ages and ages

I had parked OK - even if I had to go to the top of the hill
but then there was no signal and I had to find enough signal to download and install the app
then get the code off the car park signs and then again find enough signal to type it in and pay
and, of course, signal kept coming and going

I half expected a parking fine for paying so long after I entered the car park!!!

Bonsoir. I did a chilly 27 kms ride late morning and I think that will be it for this month as I am invigilating every day next week.
Now, I must admit I am absolutely useless with anything electronic. I have bought a video door bell but can't manage to set it up so I will ask my son to sort it for me as he is very good with things like that.

I think there is something wrong with this site

I have just seen an advert on it for Temu

and it didn;t have any half - or less - dressed women just wearing skimpy underwear

WHo should I report it to???

I used the de-icer spray this morning

for the first time in ages - if it is that cold I normally stay indoors

retirement is great!

I have discovered that the App associated my car allows me to switch the heater/demisters on, from your phone. So, on mornings like this morning, when I go for the weekly shop, at 07:00am, and the car is covered in frost/snow, I switch on the heater/demister remotely when I get our of bed, and, it is all nicely cleared by the time I have got dressed etc. The wonders of Technology.

Just watching one of the house programmes on the telly
they have a glass floor

Hmmmm

I remember seeing another one where the woman in it went to see a house with some ideas they could use
when she arrived she said "well I'm wearing trousers - but at the moment I do not know why I was told it was important"

Yes - they had glass floors - and, as she pointed out - male camera people

whoever thought a glass floor in a building was a good idea!!

I cant remember the last dwr we had that didn't do that. Mrs Ds current one will even activate the heated seats and steering wheel.

My van didn't have it from the factory, but it has an aftermarket Webasto diesel cabin heater and I can work that from the app with the same end result.

Clever stuff, eh?
