Thick haar in this morning, visibility is about ten meters (that's eleven yards in old money). I've been getting phone calls from a dodgy number purporting to be my bank. They wanted me to start pressing buttons on the phone, I hung up. I've tried ringing the banks fraud line, it's only Monday to Friday!!!!

I got a call from a number I didn't recognise yesterday so didn't answer. When I googled it, it said it was a scam supposedly from Sky.

Mrs Tkk gets a fair few scam calls and is always polite and quite adept. " Hello I'm the energy representative for your area, can I confirm that you are the property owner? " .. " And which area would that be?... " Erm, your area " ... " And exactly what is that area? " ... It can go on for a little while before they eventually give up. One call has been quite persistent over the months, a person rings and asks to speak to" Mr Dennis". We tell them that there's no one here of that name and they must have a wrong number. There's been several variations, but the bottom line is the " Mr Dennis. It's not like the usual Spam call so my suspicion is that " Mr Dennis " is an actual person and the caller ( s ) might be chasing a debt.

Just fitted a new rechargeable battery to my Vax cleaner, bought the battery last year
as a bit of insurance, so it came into play today

I got one from 0735 etc and my phone told "suspected scam"......no idea how my phone would know that ?

Probably from a Mumbai scammer using a code changer.
