Morning all :hello:

Hoping the rain holds off later for our walk to the Railway Inn for lunch.
Bits and pieces to do in the workshop this morning.

Well, that’s the end of a busy week.
Final shows on their tours for Level 42 (Monday) & Howard Jones (last night) - reliving our youth - plus a very sweary & rude yet very funny Jim Jeffries gig on Friday & a pub crawl in Stamford with pals on Tuesday: we need a rest 🤣

Slightly soured by driving home late Friday and seeing a dog (staffy) viciously attacking an old fella & his poodle not far from our home 😳
Horrendous.
He finally managed to wedge the hound against a street sign, & two dodgy looking old women arrived to drag their creature slowly away on it’s side.
So terrifying I didn’t dare get out of the car to help, but tried yelling at the dog before calling the Police. The women wouldn’t say their names of where they lived, but the Police did catch up with them later.
Helped him get to an emergency hours vet afterwards, then his son took him off to A&E - blood everywhere but spoke yesterday to his wife & they should be okay.
Was reflecting on it most of yesterday: perhaps the most horrifying random act I’ve witnessed 😔
Police statement given - they did get the ladies (who of course don’t own the dog). Likely to have to consider being a formal witness at some point in the future as they will look to charge the owner 🧐
Still, it’s good to offload on virtual friends: thanks for listening 🫣

Good morning folks. Lots more hedgehog activity overnight. Most of the straw has been taken and a prolonged visit to the feeding station where I\ve been leaving extra food saw the hedgehog tucking in and then deciding to roll up and have a nap where it was. A bit like me after lunch😁.
I've been wondering what to get as Christmas gifts for our daughters and had a brainwave following our trip to " Spill the Beansd " in Wimborne on Friday. I will make up small hampers of local produce, Including honey from the farm at Corfe Castle, IOW tomato passata, and add some bags of " Eric's deluxe muesli " ( originall made by the father of the chap who now runs the shop ). I will also bake a barm brack for each of them. Hopefully it will make a change from the usual scarf / gloves / smellies that they usually receive.

That is a good idea and I imagine will be gratefully received .

Morning folks :okay: had a chilly spin yesterday which was going well but the further i got out into the countryside the worse the road became. Just a thin line of snow in the middle of the road which expanded until there was only 2 x 18 inch clear tyre tracks to pedal along  i hit a small patch of snow which threw me off line and into deep snow at the edge of the road eek! was about to fall over in a heap but managed a lightening fast exit from my clips and got a foot down phew!
Met one other lunatic braving the conditions who was on a rather cool Genesis in army/olive green.
Think i'll walk today and let the snow melt a bit :okay:

A strange letter arrived yesterday and I've just opened it.
Its from a finance company telling me they think I am due compensation for a previous car purchase.
I thought these people did it all by phone so a change of tac?
I have filed it under 'B' for Bin.

I have heard that this is possibly a real thing for anyone who bought a car on finance in a certain period
basically "they" took a cut of the payments which increased what the customer paid - but didn;t mention it when they should have

BUT - as always claiming though a "claims company" might greatly reduce what you get
but does make it easier

but you can look it all up yourself and do it yourself with some effort - probably
