Bonjour. Wet and windy so far.
My son is on his way back from London today as he went to see RadioHead group at the O2 last night, with his own son who is a keen guitarist.
Nothing special planned for today as the weather is of the stay indoors type.

Dry but windy and grey. I did a stack of chores yesterday so need to do some exercise today before the rugby this afternoon.

Is that rugby union ?
I'm not a rugby person as my school didn't have it, only footy and cricket.
Moved to Warrington when I got married so tried a couple of rugby league matches so understand league more than union. I can enjoy a good league game but can't get into union.

I do love visiting a castle.

There's not a lot of Corfe Castle left, but it's well worth a visit as the village is really nice with access to Corfe Common. It's just a couple of minutes walk to the Swanage steam railway line and there's a stop at Corfe to take you into Swanage.

A strange letter arrived yesterday and I've just opened it.
Its from a finance company telling me they think I am due compensation for a previous car purchase.
I thought these people did it all by phone so a change of tac?
I have filed it under 'B' for Bin.

This may be a "real" thing. There has been a lot reported about car finance including PCP deals where dealer received "commission" but did not declare this to buyer. Martin Lewis has featured it on his website and TV program. I didnt take much notice, on the basis that I have not financed a vehicle purchase in that way in the past 30 years.

Early lunch had. Just some chicken strips that I coated in Cajun spices and fried along with some basmati rice. That’s about the extent of anything resembling cooking I do.

I do similar but with 'mexican' type rice. I also throw in some tomatoes (chopped small) and some chopped red pepper. I get 2 meals out of that.

Anybody have any experience with wireless home alarm kits for front and back doors ? I was looking at ERA and Yale versions but reviews are mixed. Neighbour was done last night , porch door lock forced , think they were looking for car keys. Security camera had no deterrent effect at them , faces masked up and hoodies.

@BoldenLad lucky to have a 'Garden mooring' so permanent but will go out on the canals in the future as want to learn veg growing and total self sufficient lifestyle.

WHat are people's though on them as well?

I don't have the Ring doorbell, but a similar product (EUFY) because I have some of their Cameras. They are a "no subscription" product, the recorded video is stored on a small "hub" device, within the house. I am quite happy with them, in terms of operation. I am not totally sure that they provide a deterrent, but, they do provide a means of viewing who is at the door, before you open it, and, you can speak to the person at the door, from anywhere you have an internet connection (say to ask a delivery person to leave parcel in a specified place, if you are not in/cannot get to door).
