Good morning from a sunny frosty Dorset. Fox on the prowl in the garden overnight and hedgehog is still housekeeping with the fresh barley straw I put out. Had a bit of a brainwave to use straw to pack around Christmas presents. Minus 3 earlier but toasty warm inside. I decided to run an experiment over the winter, heating went on on 1st October and set to 21 degrees running 24/7 with a setback to 20 degrees between 10pm and 6am. Will leave it like that until 31March and see how " low and slow " works for us.

I enjoy being warm (do not enjoy being cold) so put heating on continuous 22° overnight.

I like bedroom to be cool to sleep so heating not on overnight. Must cost a bit to keep continually on as well? If cold we do have heating on in day time for a few hours but house soon gets pretty hot. On in evenings between say 5pm and 10pm is the norm.

I have Reynauds so circulation has always been poor. Daughter also suffers from it.
Re the cost......I balance my age/life expectancy vs bank account and in my case it's a no trainer, after all, I am only spending the kids inheritance ^_^

A “tribute” night to a Leicester legend that was Maurice Coleman, with some brilliant footage of his 1000th gig there, bookended by others playing and sharing stories from when they played with him 😎
All that was missing where some garlic cheesy chips 🤪

What a blast!

Who? For my sins I am from that city, but I can't say I've ever heard of Maurice Coleman.

Barnet,
Back from a lovely but cold dog walk. I have dug up the Dahlias as the frost has done for them. I will try and store the tubers over winter.
I have a package from Amazon being delivered soon, then I'm off up to the highroad for a couple of bits and pieces. I might have to call in the Mitre on the way home.
Now drinking a mug of tea and eating a toasted tea cake with butter and homemade Quince jam.;)

Whenever I expect an Amazon delivery I am told it will be between 0700 and 1900.
Is there a way to get a slot/time ?

Usually if you go onto the actual website and order details it updates itself once the delivery is out and once it gets close it actually shows a map and how many stops before it arrives. At least mine does anyway.

I ordered a Pilates squishy ball thingymajig from Decathlon. It came with free delivery. The acknowledgment was from a different company saying that it would be delivered by Amazon. There's a big Amazon warehouse/ fulfilment centre down the road, this means that anything we get from Amazon arrives in the evening as the vans are headed back to the warehouse.
